Mike Hannon

Business Administrator

Student number 9102419208

Mike until recently was a resident of Tasmania and after taking early retirement travelled around Australia for 14 months in a caravan with his wife and dog. Having spent considerable time on the Sunshine Coast over the years he decided that this was the best place in Australia to live and sold up in Tassie and purchased a town house in Twin Waters.

Mike soon realised that he had taken retirement too early and still had a lot to offer the working world. After seeing the ad for the Business Administrator he applied for the position, and after being interview by the CEO was offered the newly created position. The offer to work for a leading environmental organisation was enthusiastically accepted.

Having been a General Manager of an Australian Disability Enterprise and the Business Manager of a large rural aged care and emergency centre facility, Mike has highly developed administration and business skills in not for profit organisations. He has also worked in marketing and sales and holds a Diploma of Administration and Diploma of Marketing. Mike has also been the Secretary/Treasurer of 3 not for profit Tasmanian organisations over the last 12 years.
